Lake Manyara National Park Main Gate – Uwanja wa Barafu
On-line entries are still available for 21Km (Half Marathon), 10Km (Executive Run) and 5KM (Fun Run).
Distances will be 21km (Half Marathon); 10km (Executive Run and a 5km (fun run). There will be limited race entries available in each category of race which will be announced when entries open.
The race routes are measured by a qualified ‘Course Measurer’ for World Athletics.
No late entries will be accepted. Early bird entries available – see entry fees for different categories.

ROAD CLOSURES
Half of the MTO WA MMBU – KARATU ROAD will be closed on 17 of September, 2023 to enable safety to all runners.
PARKING
Special parking of guests will be available at Lake Manyara National Park Main Gate and at Uwanja wa Barafu
TRAFFIC CONTROL
Police will be controlling traffic along the whole route, from 07h00 – 11h00. Motorists are asked to drive slowly and carefully, and be aware of runners. Where possible, it is suggested that trucks, motorcycle and busses avoid the marathon route, as they may be pulled over for long periods. Anyone, including motorcycle found driving dangerously will be charged/held responsible.
RACE NUMBER COLLECTION:
See below for opening times for your Race number collection and what you need to bring. You must collect your Race Number from the venue you selected on your entry form. If you are collecting for another person, you need copies of their ID/passport and their permission to collect on their behalf.
DO NOT swap or buy someone else’s race number. It is against Race Regulations. Both the seller and buyer will be banned from future events.
You must bring your ID / passport / proof of residency or work permit to collect your race number. If you are collecting a race number for someone else, these documents must be provided for ALL ENTRIES / PERSONS. If you are not a Tanzania Citizen, but you have paid a lesser amount, you will be required to pay the balance at Race number collection.
